Cross out singles

This week we have been learning to play a maths game called "cross out singles."
You start by drawing a 3 by 3 grid. Then someone rolls a die and whatever number appears on the die , you write it in 1 box. When your grid is full, you add up all the rows, columns and diagonals of 3 and write them at the end of the line. If you have any numbers round the outside that there are only 1 of them ,cross them out and up the remaining numbers. The person with the highest total wins.

the learning pit                   The learning pit is when you get really confused and you can't think straight. The easiest way to get out is to ask someone else. It is not real. (Sorry that the photo is backwards.)
