This week in writing, I practiced writing LPG 1: I know who my audience is. I did this by writing a letter from a perspective of a character.

Math

This was done about 5 months ago but I'm not sure if I posted it. This is
my best current basic facts test score
100% right in 3:07. I was practising math LPG 9-Multiplication and division facts.

Reseach

This morning we started learning about oceans.
I found out that Megalodon is 23m long.
Later on, I want to find out more names of prehistoric sea predators.

Writing

This week in writing, I have been working on writing LPG 15: I can include an introduction, a main body (2/3 paragraphs) and a conclusion to structure my writing. I did this by writing a story with paragraphs.

Math

This week in math,  I have been working on math LPG 16: solve multiplication problems using a range of strategies. I did this by practicing square roots.

Reading

This week in reading,  I have been working on reading LPG 6: I regularly read longer texts. I did this reading This book, "Eragon".

Reading

This week in reading, I worked on reading LPG 5: I can evaluate and integrate ideas and imformation across a few texts. I did this by making a plan from a written text.

math

This week in math, I have been working on geometry and measurement LPG 7: create nets for rectangular prisms. I did this by making a robot out of 3D shapes.

Writing

This week in writing, I have been working on writing LPG 10:L can choose a range of appropriate and precise vocabulary related to the topic. I did this by writing a report on panthers.

Reading

This week in reading, I have been working on reading LPG 3-I can locate and summarise ideas by skimming and scanning, by identifying key words, topic sentences, and key questions, or by using subheadings. I did this by reading a text and answering some questions about it.

Math

This week in math, I have been working on geometry LPG 2I can measure the perimeter of objects. I did this by doing a perimeter sheet.

This week in writing, I have been working on writing LPG 1-I can discuss and show that I know who my audience is, and why I am writing. I did this by making a father's day card.

This week in writing, I have been working on writing LPG 25: I can form all upper and lowercase letters correctly, neatly and fluently. I did this by writing cross country things, randomly.

This week in math, I have been working on math LPG 16-I can solve multiplication problems using  a range of strategies. I did this in the form of playing a math game.

This week in writing, I have practiced writing LPG 5-I can give and recieve feedback about writing in peers. I did this in the form of a partner check.

This week in math I practiced geometry and measurement LPG 7-I can create nets of 3D shapes. I did this in the form of creating a 3D triangle net and folding it into a 3D triangle.

This week my writing goal was LPG 25-I can form all lower and uppercase letters neatly, correctly and fluently. I wrote a "Lake Ora" recount.

In reading I can monitor for accuracy and sense.

Discovery Time

This week I have been practicing writing LPG 25 in my hard book. I made a sheet about what I want to find out in discovery time.

This week in maths I have been learning groupings within 1 000 in the form of a game called highest number. You draw up a grid, same shape and same size as mine. As you can see, I have a grid. On a grid the "box's" maximum length and height is four "squares." Someone rolls a dice ten times and you put those numbers in your "box". When your "box" is full, you will notice you have four horizontal numbers. Add those up and you will have your total. Your goal could be to get the highest, lowest or closest to a certain number to win.

This week, one goal I worked on was "groupings of 2 , 5 and 10" in the form of the game "greedy pig" in maths.
